You don't need to be surprised because it is just a basic knowledge that he wanna share with students studying finance and business, as well as general people. If you google, you will find the same information on the internet but it is in english and very long (hundreds of pages) so it is hard for people with limited enlish to read and understand even these basic knowledge and information.

To your knowledge, what kind of experience should a writer have to produce a book or to evaluate the economic situation?

Not everyone knows or understands the US Subprime mortgage market collapse late 2008; hence, Mr Virak’s book should be an excellent indication or source regarding the causes and the consequences of GFO to Cambodian researchers. Cambodia wishes to have more people like him in order to boost the Cambodian education system and also other development areas.

How do you know that he has no experience in financial market ? do you know him ?. This is one of the greatest cambodian interview on air that i've ever heard and seen.

What is your contribution to our society ? being an destructive one?. "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."

Yes, he is student or candidate for CFA and it was stated on the article. I think the guy was right. He has no expirience in financial market... and he wrote a book. I am surprised too...Lol

By listening to his interview, I believe he has a very good understanding in the financial market and a profound knowledge of the 2008 economic crisis. There are many high educated people (academic people) and authors who write their books based on their researches and empirical studies, etc. So, why don't you appreciate his works, take advantages of his books by asking him to clarify your confusion or by taking good points from his book rather than coming here talking nonsense. Just be a grown up man!

:-) that's funny how to see people from the bad side. I am not the guy and not busy enough (so are you, right? :-))that's why I come here often to read news. Can you share your thoughts on the matter rather complaining the guy in the interview? You talk like you have full of real professional experience in the financial market. Just share us some (me and other people reading news on this website). What do you think about the financial crisis in 2008? Hope to learn more from you so that I have a complete understanding from both sides (academic and professional :D)
